3.27.25 Friends of Mokena Meet & Greet

 Thursday, March 27th was the third and final of the meet and greet events for  George Metanias and the Friends of Mokena slate.  

 Mayor Frank Fleischer asked if we could sit down again before the upcoming election, to address some of the things his opponents are saying about him and his record. 

Melissa Fedora is the Executive Director of the Mokena Chamber of Commerce and a current Village Trustee, running for her second term.  She is running with the Friends of Mokena slate. 

Dan Gilbert teaches in Mokena 159 schools and is a Mokena Park District Commissioner. He is running with the Friends of Mokena slate. Get to know Dan Gilbert and be sure to vote BY April 1st!

 Kimberly Huelsman is a teacher at Sandburg High School in Orland Park. This is her first time running for elected office and she is running with the Mokena's Future slate.

Josh Bailey is an executive for Ozinga and this is his first time running for elected office. He is running with the Friends of Mokena slate.

In this episode, I sit down with four of the ten candidates running for the Summit Hill 161 School District board. Three are current board members, and one is a community member aiming to join. They share their reasons for deserving your vote.  The district, serving Mokena, Frankfort, and Tinley Park, has faced scrutiny over school closings, transportation issues, and more.
